Adrian and Claire are pleased to offer you a warm welcome as has been given to travellers for over 250 years. There is good honest family home cooking on offer at lunchtimes and in the evenings, locally sourced wherever possible, and a steady patronage of regular customers from all over the world, following the Robbie Burns trail from Ayr to Edinburgh, ensures that there is always good company to be had in the bar.

The pub is small (and low - watch your head on the way in!) so space is limited and it can be busy at weekends. It is possible to book a table however, and this is advisable. During the summer, weather permitting, you can sit outside in the garden at the rear of the building.
